Sunderby SK was one of 96 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Piteå Summer Games 2019. They participated with 15 teams in all categories except Boys 11, Boys 16, Girls 8, Girls 9 and Girls 16. The team in Girls 10 made it to the the Avslutningsmatcher in Gruppspel B, but lost it against HauPa by 1-7.

In addition to this, Sunderby SK have participated in Piteå Summer Games before. During Piteå Summer Games 2018, Sunderby SK had 16 teams playing in 12 out of Piteå Summer Gamess all 18 categories. The team in Girls 16 made it to the the Bronze match in Slutspel A, but lost it against Varden FK by 1-2.

Sunderby SK comes from Södra Sunderbyn which lies approximately 44 km from Piteå, where Piteå Summer Games takes place. The area around Södra Sunderbyn does also provide 17 additional clubs participating during Piteå Summer Games 2019 (Among others: FC Norrsken, Rutvik SK, Gammelstads IF, Rosvik IK, Al, Notvikens IK, IFK Luleå/Lira BK, Norrfjärdens IF, Bergnäsets AIK and Alviks IK).
