IK Junkeren was one of 62 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Piteå Summer Games 2018. They participated with four teams in Boys 11, Boys 14 and Boys 15 respectively. The team in Boys 15 made it to the the Bronze match in Slutspel Aand won it over Tromsø IL Vit by 2-0.

In addition to this, IK Junkeren have participated in Piteå Summer Games before. During Piteå Summer Games 2017, Junkeren had 5 teams playing in Boys 12, Boys 14, Boys 15 and Boys 16 respectively. Four teams played until Avslutningsmatcher 2 in Avslutningsmatcher; Boys 14 won over FC Norrsken by 4-1, Boys 12 2 lost against Skellefteå FF by 1-4, Boys 15 lost against FC Espoo United by 0-2 and Boys 16 .

Junkeren comes from BODØ which lies approximately 380 km from Piteå, where Piteå Summer Games takes place.
